Looking to cast performers for the "Shrek the Musical". See the details listed below for more information. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” Thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy-tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. Additional info: Please prepare 30 seconds to 1 minute of a song from the show (see below). Links to the tracks that we will be using for the auditions will be posted in the event discussion section soon. The production staff will have the tracks on-hand to play during the audition. It is very helpful if you can provide a time stamp of where to stop and start. A cappella auditions will not be seen. Performance dates are June 20, 21, 22 & 27, 28, and 29, 2025. * Dance auditions will take place from 6:00–7:00 pm, and everyone will participate. Please dress comfortably or bring a change of clothes for this portion. IMPORTANT: To protect the venue’s floors, do not wear your “outside” shoes for the dance audition. Bring a clean pair of shoes to change into. Barefoot or just socks are acceptable. If you are interested, please apply.
