About the project: "Night Ride" follows Tom, a seemingly sweet and mild-mannered Uber driver who harbors a dark secret—he’s a serial killer. Throughout one night, Tom picks up passengers, some of whom become his carefully chosen victims. However, when he crosses paths with three drunk university girls on their chaotic night out, the evening takes unexpected turns, pushing him to reveal both his charming and dangerous sides. Additional information: Scene Summary: In this scene, Tom picks up three intoxicated university friends—Emma, Rachel, and Lisa—after a night of clubbing. They are loud, playful, and drunk, engaging in humorous and sometimes inappropriate banter during the ride. Tom, patient and polite, seems like a typical driver until Lisa’s vulnerability puts her in danger. When two predatory men try to take advantage of Lisa, Tom’s dark side emerges, and he swiftly and violently deals with the situation, showing no remorse. In a separate scene, T-Rex, the comeback rapper, is interviewed by a radio DJ, expressing his passion for music, the struggles he overcame, and his excitement to reenter the industry. This film blends suspense, dark humor, and character-driven storytelling, showcasing both tension and charm. Max 2-3 hours filming/Dates of filming: End of February beginning of March. Emma is the most self-assured of the group and tends to take charge in any situation. Outgoing, witty, and protective of her friends, she often leads their wild nights with confidence. Underneath her boldness is a sense of responsibility, especially when she helps Lisa stay grounded.
Rachel is the practical, level-headed friend, though even she lets loose during their night out. Often providing sarcastic quips and realistic advice, Rachel’s humor comes through when dealing with her drunk friends. She’s the one trying to get everyone home safely.
The life of the party, Lisa is fun-loving and carefree, with a tendency to overdo it on nights out. Vulnerable and naive in her intoxicated state, Lisa becomes a pivotal character when the night takes a dangerous turn. Despite her party-girl demeanor, she has a good heart.
BIPOC/Person of Color. T-Rex is a charismatic, larger-than-life rapper who has recently returned to the music scene after a hiatus. Passionate and energetic, he is interviewed by radio DJs, sharing his excitement about making a comeback. Although there is no actual rapping or performing, the actor must convincingly portray an artist with charm, confidence, and a love for music. Strong acting experience is essential.
One of the college guys who tries to take advantage of Lisa. Overconfident and predatory, he represents the threat Tom eliminates. Man #1 is aggressive but crumbles under pressure when confronted.
The quieter but equally sinister accomplice. Man #2 follows Man #1’s lead and shares the same predatory nature. He ends up in a brutal confrontation with Tom.
