About the project: Show Description: When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter. Additional info: What to Prepare: A short vocal piece (16 - 32 bars) showcasing your vocal range and character. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Songs from the show are not advised. It is recommended to sing in a style similar to the show. Please refer to the show's album attached. Be prepared to read from the script if asked. Performance Dates: July 11, 2025 through August 3, 2025 (Sponsor's Night on July 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM) Performance Times: 8:00 PM every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 3:00 PM on Sundays.
