About the project: All Hank wants is an “Old Fashion Christmas” But there is one problem. His family! His daughter returns after a 20 year hiatus with a son he has never met. His son can’t hold a job and has been in Jail more times than he can count. His partner of over twenty years is feeling left out, and to top it all off his ex-wife is a force to be reckoned with. And let’s not forget the boisterous vibrant neighbor who couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it. Will Hank get what he wants or will everyone keep him from calling a “Truce”. Rate: Pay ($100 Stipend) Additional info: Rehearsals Begin: February 24, 2025 Run/Shoot: April 4, 2025 – April 27, 2025 What To Prepare: Actors are asked to prepare a 1 minute contemporary comedic monologue. A 60 year old retired history professor. Has found he doesn’t have long to live. Hank is very calm and collected. Almost stoic. He finds laughter and love to be the best medicine.
Hanks lover of almost 30 years. Tommy is sarcastically witty. He stays out of family affairs (for the most part). His only concern is Hank’s well being.
Hank’s only daughter. She has returned home after twenty years. She is a worrier. She has a deep connection to her father. She is a strong and independent person, however she can be standoffish.
Hank’s only son. Jake is staying with Tommy and Hank only because his girlfriend kicked him out. He is abrupt. He is not a happy person. Has spent most of his adult time in and out of jail.
Lily’s son. He is wise beyond his years. He is very forward. He claims to be too young to be this pessimistic.
Tommy’s sister. She lives right next door to Tommy and Hank. She is boisterous and theatrical. She is caring, compassionate and a tad bit nosy.
Hank’s ex-wife. Mother to Jake and Lily. She is a striking woman. She is upfront and callous.
