Professional Casting for a Short Film "The Girls"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Short Film "The Girls" is currently in need of cast. Please, see the details below. Rate: ACTRA & NON-UNION MAY APPLY. $150/day (per ACTRA & Film5 AIP Agreement. Additional information: Audition Type: Self-Tape - sides and full script will be sent when e-mail of interest is received. Shooting Dates: April 5th & April 6th 2025 - (You MUST be available for both shooting days– all day). Deadline to Submit: February 3rd, 2025. Principal role. She's everyone's Aunt. She has a no-nonsense haircut that doesn't require maintenance, and she is one of those incredible creatures who mistakes being rude as speaking her mind. The Outspoken Girl.
Principal Role. A bit younger than Debbie and her best friend. She's here for the conversation and what she lacks in Visual Arts she more than makes up for in fashion. The Classy Girl.
Principal Role. The second eldest of the group. Gray-haired and lovely. She is very sweet and mild mannered and shares all her expensive scrapbooking equipment. Which is perhaps why today is so remarkable. The Kind Girl.
Principal Role. The eldest of the group. She doesn't go to Church, she is the cornerstone of the Church. Mary volunteers everywhere and has a real "holier than thou" vibe. She wears modest clothing, and isn't afraid to shame even her closest circle. The Religious Girl.
Principal Role. It's in the name. The chattiest of the group and a real-fence sitter at the best of times. Cathy doesn't know the adage that if you sit on the fence long enough you get no grass and a pole up your ass. Cathy is chaotic Mrs. Frizzle without the charisma. The Chatty Girl.
