ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Upcoming Montreal Fringe 2025 production of "Countercurrents" is currently in need of performers. Please, see the details below. About the play: This provocative drama follows ambitious journalist Veronica and her mother Rong–who has turned to 5G conspiracy remedies to treat her debilitating chronic pain. Forced to live together after Rong’s messy divorce, each woman wrestles with how to live with someone they no longer like, but whom they love immensely. The play is an examination of the powers of prejudice and paranoia–and the sacrifices we are willing to make to navigate our current political minefield. The play will be performed mostly in English, but one of the roles requires Mandarin Chinese proficiency. Rate: Compensation will consist of an honorarium plus 12% of net profit. Additional information: Rehearsals will run from March to early June. These will be followed by 6-7 performances between June 5-15. The actor should also be able to quickly switch between the two.

BILLINGS: A neurologist at a private clinic. Tired, disinterested, and skeptical. Masculine-presenting, 30s-50s. Doubled with Taylor.
