Mainstage auditions for "Dreamgirls" show. Seeking AEA & non-union performers. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: Through gospel, R&B, smooth pop, disco and more, Dreamgirls explores themes of ambition, hope and betrayal, all set in the glamorous and competitive world of the entertainment industry with a motown girl group. Rate: LORT-LOA **Total of 3-5 performances/week $530/week minimum for AEA actors + Pension/6 health weeks. Non-union: Fee Minimum $2,300+ (based on role) Theatre anticipates having 4-5 total AEA contracts available for this production. Travel via MNR provided. Please note there is NO housing for this production. Theater is located 35 minutes from NYC. Additional info: Seeking a cast with fantastic singing, acting and dancing abilities to play principal and supporting roles. 1st Rehearsal: March 24 (rehearses in NYC, within 10am-6pm range) Tech: April 5-10 in White Plains Shows: April 11-13, 17-19, 23-27, May 1-4 (3-5 performances/week) Please note there are NO performances on Easter. Please bring any and all conflicts to the auditions and note that the rehearsals times may vary. You must be available for all shows and tech week to audition. Embodies both innocence and star power.

The group's youngest member. Bubbly, energetic, youthful, and pragmatic. Eager for success, she's swept off her feet by the married James Thunder Early. Speaks her mind. A high-energy, quirky, hopeless romantic. Has a keen sense of humor and comedic skill.

Effie's songwriting younger brother. Idealistic, loyal, endearing, and soft-spoken. While initially inspired by Curtis's business savvy, his efforts to do the right thing are ultimately eclipsed by Curtis' controlling vision. Goes through the journey of losing and regaining himself.

Replacement for Effie. A Dynamic singer/performer that better fits into Curtis' aesthetic for The Dreams. Headstrong and sure of her place. Falls in love with C.C. and facilitates the reunion of him and his sister, Effie. Will Also be in the Ensemble.

Former Cadillac dealer turned entertainment manager, turned music mogul. Charming, funny, handsome, smooth, and seductive but ruthless in the pursuit of his dreams. He is motivated by his hunger for mainstream success, an appreciation for crossover music, and keen business mind. Takes over the management of Jimmy Early's career and oversees the rise to stardom of The Dreams. Initially warm and approachable, he becomes hardened by wealth, power, and control.
