Roald Dahl’s "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" show casting actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Additional info: Cold readings will be provided. The cut from the songs listed below will be briefly reviewed before being performed individually for the casting team. A brief dance will be taught. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you can move in. Be sure to have your calendar to list all of your conflicts. No conflicts are permitted for tech week or performances. Some roles may be double cast, or have understudies or standbys. Audition Songs: Men: “Pure Imagination” Women: “If Your Father Were Here” Callbacks are April 5 & 6 as needed. Please plan to be available for callbacks. The first meeting is April 13 in the evening. Rehearsals begin May 5 and are Sundays at 2:30 PM, and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 6:30 PM. There may be a few Wednesday rehearsals, especially closer tech week, so please include Wednesdays in your conflicts. There WILL be rehearsals on July 3 & 6. Although you may not be needed for all rehearsals, please prepare to be present. Tech week is July 13-17 and performances run July 18-27. Performances are Friday and Saturday in the evening, and Sunday afternoon. No conflicts are permitted for tech week or the performances. There is a mandatory pickup rehearsal July 24 in the evening.
