About the show: Amélie is an extraordinary young woman who lives quietly in the world but loudly in her mind. She covertly improvises small but surprising acts of kindness that bring joy and mayhem. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realizes that to find happiness she’ll have to risk everything and say what’s in her heart. Be inspired by this imaginative dreamer who finds her voice, discovers the power of connection, and sees possibility around every corner. Additional information: Performance Dates: JUNE 26 - JULY 5, 2025. LOCATION: Edmonton. CALL-BACKS: Wed, January 22, 2025 - evening. Rehearsal Schedule - Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday Afternoons to start. Most long weekends have no scheduled rehearsals. Tech week will include more evening rehearsals. Availability information sheet will be sent out prior to audition. Headshots and résumés are recommended, but not required. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Please prepare a contemporary musical theatre piece that shows compelling storytelling and character. A ballad or lyric song is preferred. Bring sheet music for an accompanist or digital backing track. Selections by composers such as Ahrens & Flaherty, Andrew Lippa, Kerrigan & Lowdemilk, Pasek & Paul, Jeannie Tesori, Yorkey & Kitt and other contemporary writers would be suitable.
