Singing Audition for "Cinderella!" Show

Soprano Cinderella is living with her stepmother and sisters as they treat her like a house maid, full of disrespect and cruelty. She is very kind, has compassion, and sees the brighter side of things regardless of the evil she lives with. She eventually falls in love with the Prince and they live happily ever after.

Baritone The Prince lives in the castle with his parents, the King & Queen. He wants to have a ball in order to find the woman of his dreams. He meets Cinderella at the ball and falls in love with her, as she sends him on a search to find her with just a glass slipper for evidence. He is young, kind hearted, and full of spirit as well as a charming personality.

Soprano The Godmother is a woman with magical powers that fulfill Cinderella's most valuable wishes. She is witty, strong hearted, and very loving.

Mezzo-Soprano The Stepmother is the woman who is our show's villain. She is the mean Stepmother to Cinderella and is gives off sort of a mean diva to everyone except royalty. This role will have a lot of yelling and shouting.

Baritone The King of the Kingdom, Dad to the Prince, Husband to the Queen, and your highness to everyone else. He is funny and has a lot of comedic moments when on stage. This character will need to be animated, "young soul for an older guy".

Mezzo-Soprano The Queen of the Kingdom is going to be the fairest of them all. She is very elegant, kind, and loving when it comes to being a mom to the Prince. She also has some comedic moments and will need to be "the mature one in the relationship".

Mezzo-Soprano Outrageous. A silly sister and also pretty annoying. This character is very loud and has lot of things to say to poor Cinderella. Her sister and herself are constantly pestering her, as well as trying to remain as gorgeous as their mother.

Mezzo-Soprano Not living up to her name, Joy is definitely not a joy to be around. She is also annoying and has her silly moments, as well as snobby. She lives to be a bully with her sister towards Cinderella, letting her know that they are TOP priority.

Tenor The Herald is the person with joyous news when announcing the ball to the townspeople. He is also one of the workers to the Royal Family, as he does have great loyalty. The Herald is caring, silly, and loves to sing his heart out.

The Chef is a specific role in a number, usually also cast as ensemble outside of role. This character has a solo in a trio number, as well as a dance break with the others in that scene.

The Steward is a specific role in a number, usually also cast as ensemble outside of role. This character has a solo in a trio number, as well as a dance break with the others in that scene.

This role is made for those who want to do the more intimate and advanced dancing. There will only be about 4 - 6 cast and they will be highlighted dancers in certain numbers. Please share experience in dance, as well as dance skills. This role is not needed to sing, but if you can, that is a plus!
