Singing Opportunities in "Once Upon a Mattress" Production
Audition for "Once Upon a Mattress" musical. Looking for male and female performers. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Written during the Golden Age of American musicals, Once Upon A Mattress is a humorous take on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. The show’s popularity has endured through generations, even enjoying a revival on Broadway in 2024. Using a Drag Queen Story Hour as our setting, this production will highlight the storybook charm of the show and its message that, in fairy tales at least, anyone can be a princess. Additional info: Prepare: A 60-90-second vocal selection, preferably in the style of the show. Select a monologue from the list provided. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time to allow for check-in.
