About the project: "In 1890s New York City, the bold and enchanting widow Dolly Levi is a socialite-turned-matchmaker. Her latest clients seeking assistance are the cantankerous “half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder and a young artist named Ambrose, who is in love with Horace’s niece, Ermengarde. Dolly’s scheming soon involves Horace’s employees, as well as a New York hat maker, as she tries to cover up her own secret romantic designs." Additional info: Whether you’re a seasoned actor or new to the stage, directors want to see you shine. Please print and fill out all necessary forms (see attachments) ahead of time and bring to the audition. Please be able to list all of your conflicts. Prepare to sing “Put on Your Sunday Clothes” at the audition. (Page 43 of the score, measures 115-129).
