Seeking Paid Talent for "Edmontask" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are casting contestants to join us as they film fun, challenging, and sometimes humiliating new tasks and activities that will play at the 2025 Fringe. More details are below. About the project: Edmontask is a mixed-media show with significant video production ahead of the live theater production. The show is influenced by British comedy panel shows.Our contestants are paid via profit share. Rate: Paid via profit share. Additional information: You do not need to have any previous acting experience to audition. Only looking for talent in and around the Edmonton area. SUBMISSIONS CLOSE FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd, 11:59 PM. Directors will host auditions the last weekend of November. Further details will be provided to the selected individuals upon notification. Please, see the attachments. When applying, please submit the following details: Your full name and contact info (phone number, email). An artist resume/CV, if available. A link to a video introduction of yourself. In the video, directors ask that you tell them who you are, why you want to join Edmontask and why you think you’d be a good contestant. After that, directors ask that you finish the video by showcasing something unique about yourself. This can be a talent/skill, a hobby/collection, a funny story, or anything else you feel showcases your unique self.

An Edmontask contestant can be an actor, comedian, teacher, accountant...anything! At the core, directors are looking for unique personalities who can play well to the camera and participate comfortably on stage. You can be bold and outgoing, dry and witty, or a sobbing nervous wreck; as long as you bring your unique energy to the tasks and the show, you have a place in our cast.
