About the project: It’s 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. Additional info: Callbacks (if needed) by invitation ONLY on Sunday, December 1st from 2-5 pm. Rehearsals are typically held on weeknights from 7 pm-10 pm and weekends from 2 pm-6 pm. On the audition form, you can submit all your potential conflicts. Specific rehearsal schedules will be handed out at the first rehearsal. ALL rehearsals will be held in Mansfield, Texas. ALL Tech Week rehearsals are REQUIRED (February 2-6) and will be held from 6 pm-11 pm at the Farr-Best Theater. Performances: Friday & Saturday, February 7 & 8 at 7:30pm; Friday & Saturday, February 14 & 15 at 7:30pm; Sunday, February 16 at 2:30 pm; The audition packet is attached. If interested, please apply.

The lead singer of a band. Handsome and charismatic. A truly ‘nice’ guy that has the classic lead singer aura and personality. Also a bit of a dreamer. In love with love until Linda leaves him at the altar and breaks his heart. Vocal Range : B2-B♭4 (Tenor)
The bass player in the wedding band and one of Robbie’s best friends. A total guy’s guy, but beneath his pretending to love being a bachelor he is actually in love with Holly. Vocal Range: C3-A♭4 (Tenor)
The wedding band’s keyboardist and one of Robbie’s best friends. He is sensitive and very flamboyant (think Boy George). The foil to Sammy’s super guy. attitude. Vocal Range: C3-A♭4 (Tenor)
Julia’s fiancé. A Wall Street broker. He is rich, shallow, and materialistic. Constantly tries to buy Julia’s love with money. He is a bit of a womanizer. Vocal Range: C3-G4 (Tenor)
Waitress. The pretty “girl next door” in looks and personality. Engaged to Glen but falls in love with Robbie and is conflicted as to who to choose. Empathetic, caring, and brave. Vocal Range: G3-E5 (Soprano)
Julia’s cousin. Sexually promiscuous and always up for a good time, but wants to be loved and is looking for romantic fulfillment in all the wrong places. She is in love with Sammy. Vocal Range: A3-E5 (Soprano)
Robbie’s grandmother who raised him. Motherly but adventurous and always trying to remain “hip” despite her age. Vocal Range: C4-C5 (Mezzo-Soprano)
Robbie’s fiancé who leaves him at the altar. Keeps Robbie around as a back-up plan. Female. 20+. Is more in love with the idea of Robbie being a rock star than she actually is with Robbie. Vocal Range: A3-D5 (Mezzo-Soprano)
Julia’s mother, a divorced woman from New Jersey who is bitter about her divorce. She is a strong character singer and actor with good comic timing. Vocal Range: B3-D5 (Mezzo-Soprano)
