Actors needed for new play festival. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: Auditions for upcoming non-equity Black Box New Play Festival. Rate: There is a stipend of one payment of $50. For CAMBRIOLAGE only, the stipend is $100. Additional info: Directors are seeking an inclusive, diverse cast. Performers of all races and ethnicities, gender expressions, cultural heritages/backgrounds, body types as well as disabled and differently-abled performers are encouraged to apply. Callbacks will be held on either Saturday, November 16th or Sunday, November 17th during the day. You might be asked to attend a callback by more than one director. Come to as many callbacks you can. Rehearsals start in early December and will be in the evening during the week (typically 7-10 PM) and during the day on weekends (typically 12-5 PM). The festival runs over two weekends from January 16th – January 26th and features the world premiers of 6 plays. Each play will receive a total of 4 performances on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday matinee schedule. When applying, please include a taped monologue of around one minute (it can be comic or serious).
