Auditions for 'Kinky Boots' ALL ROLES OPEN, Non-Union/Non-Paid: Seeking a multi-ethnic and generationally diverse cast of exceptionally strong actors, singers, and dancers for this production. All roles will use British accents. Silhouette Stages is committed to inclusivity in casting. All races, ethnicities, gender identities, body types, and mobilities are encouraged to audition. Auditions: November 11th and 12th. Rehearsals: Monday/Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings. Tenor, leading man. Privileged, but likable - his father owns the local shoe factory. Handsome and loveable, but there is a temper under the surface. Must have strong, sustainable rock tenor vocals, strong movement, and strong acting. Vocal range C3-B4
The heart of the show, a prize fighter draped in satin. A fiery diva presence with underlying heart and soul, she is ostentatious, over the top, and more real than most. Must have a strong, sustainable tenor voice comfortable with blues, soul, and gospel styles, strong dancing and acting, and great comedic timing. Must be comfortable wearing all types of clothing from full glamour to boxing trunks. Only male-presenting BIPOC actors will be considered for this role. Vocal range C3-B4
Charlie’s long-time girlfriend. Sophisticated and stylish, she is a social climber, driven, and uncompromising. She knows what she wants and goes for it. Must have a strong pop belt. Vocal range E3-F#5
Quirky working-class girl who works in the shoe factory and eventually falls for Charlie. Terribly funny and smart, but has bad luck with men. Must have a strong pop belt and wonderful comedic timing. Vocal range Bb3-F#5
Lola’s nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker, with a menacing physicality. Must have strong acting and good comedic timing. Vocal range A2-F4
The drag performers who perform with Lola at The Blue Angel Nightclub. Must be versatile singers and strong dancers with star presence and comfort performing in drag. Prefer male-presenting actors for these roles, but open to female-presenting actors. Tenor Back-Up Singers up to C5; Featured Angel singers up to C#5
Hooligans, Factory Workers, Pub Patrons, Photographers, Club Patrons. Seeking a diverse, hard-working, wildly talented ensemble of singers and dancers to each play multiple roles of various ages.
