Theatre Casting Call for "Lemuria" Production

About the project: Professor Anabelle Katz-Carver, the greatest primatologist since Jane Goodall, runs her elite research lab as a strict matriarchy. After grooming potential successors for decades, she's finally ready to choose an heir — but in the animal kingdom and in our own, how does a queen pass the crown on to another queen? LEMURIA is an inheritance drama about dominance, queer Southern scientists, academic lineage, sex, and — yes — lemurs. Additional info: Actors should have a short contemporary monologue ready and be prepared to do some cold readings from the script in addition to group improvisation.
