Seeking performers to play roles in the production of "The Shawshank Redemption". Please, see the details below. About the play: When Andy Dufresne is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in the notorious Shawshank prison, he must find a way to keep himself and his hope alive by using his wits and forging friendships. Based on the novella, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, the play is a story of resilience. Additional information: Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete your audition card. Production Dates: February 26 – March 15, 2025. Wed to Sat nights – 7:30 pm curtain; Sun Matinees on March 2 & 9 – 2:30 pm curtain. All actors MUST be available for all performances. Call Backs: Monday, November 11, 7:30 pm. SUBJECT MATTER WARNING: This play contains disturbing scenes of gang rape and physical abuse. The subject matter may be disturbing to volunteers. This material will be treated respectfully and sensitively during the rehearsal process; and trigger/content warnings will be given to the audience members.
