Seeking Performers for "Crimes of the Heart" Show
The company is holding auditions for "Crimes of the Heart" Show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: The three MaGrath sisters are back together in their hometown of Hazelhurst, Mississippi for the first time in a decade. Lenny, the eldest, never left Hazelhurst -- she is the caretaker of the sisters’ cantankerous Old Granddaddy. Meg, the middle sister, left home to pursue stardom as a singer in Los Angeles, but has, so far, only found happiness at the bottom of a bottle. And Babe, the youngest, has just been arrested for the murder of her abusive husband, Zackery Botrelle. Under the scorching heat of the Mississippi sun, past resentments bubble to the surface and each sister must come to terms with the consequences of her own “crimes of the heart.” Rate: No roles in this production are paid. Additional info: Auditions will consist of monologues or sides pulled from the script. Rehearsals will be held Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm unless otherwise specified. Tech week rehearsals will be Jan. 26-30. Performance dates are Jan. 31-Feb. 2 and Feb. 7-9, 2025. Please apply if interested.
