About the project: "Play, Then," a drama student short film follows Lucas, a 17-year-old Chinese American cellist, who must reconcile his relationship with music when asked to play for his grandmother. Rate: $200/day. Will provide reimbursement for transportation. Meals provided. Copy and credit provided. Additional info: Must be available Oct. 25-27. Shoots in Claremont, CA. Lucas' elderly grandmother, frail, suffering from dementia. She struggles to remember her grandson, but her memory stirs when she hears the music from his cello. Chinese/Cantonese-speaking.
