By Greg Taylor, based on the film produced by Raffaella De Laurentiis, "Prancer" captures the essence of hope and wonder. When an injured reindeer, believed to be Prancer, appears in the woods near Jessica's home, it sparks a series of events that touch the hearts of the entire community of Three Oaks. Additional info: All production cast are volunteers. Additional info: While this is not a musical, the script includes caroling, including the Little Drummer Boy. There is also a scene that takes place in a church. All auditionees will perform a short monologue from the show. Monologues should be memorized as best as possible in advance to best showcase their acting abilities. Auditioners should be ready to take direction from the staff to do the monologue more than once. It is suggested that you also be familiar with other monologues for roles you are age-appropriate for. Resumes and headshots are welcomed but not required. Auditionees should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled audition time to complete audition forms or fill out and bring the audition form attached with them. Conflicts will be submitted on the audition form. Auditionees should plan on staying for the entirety of the audition or until dismissed by the director. Callbacks by invitation only on Sunday, September 15- 6 pm. Rehearsal Dates: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 6 pm until 9 or 10 pm depending if minors or adults are called. Set Building - December 16th, 23rd, 30th - 10am - ?? (must attend at least one) Tech week will be December 1, 2, 3, and 4 (Sunday-Wednesday) 6 pm until ~10 pm (kids dismissed early) Performance Dates: Friday, 12/6 7pm; Saturday, 12/7 7pm; Sunday, 12/8 2 pm- Relaxed Performance; Tuesday, 12/10- retirement home performance; Friday, 12/15 7pm; Saturday, 12/16 7 pm (possibly added 2 pm matinee based on sales); Sunday, 12/17 2 pm.
