"Sweeney Todd" The Musical Seeking Performers
"Sweeney Todd" show casting vocalists/actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: Every eligible actor will receive a paid travel stipend at the end of the show’s run. The Theatre when needed, will offer equity guest contracts to members of the union and contracts for professional actors. Additional info: Music from the show, scenes, or choreography will be taught at the night of auditions. Some performers may be asked to attend callbacks on the same night of their audition. Vocal sides will be sent in advance of the audition date, and after directord have confirmed your appointment. Rehearsal dates: August 25th-October 3rd Rehearsals are generally Sunday through Thursday 6:30pm-10:30pm. (Mandatory Tech Week: September 29th-October 3rd) Performance Dates: October 4th- October 27th (Friday- 8:00pm show, Saturday- 2:00pm & 8:00pm shows, Sunday- 2:00pm show) *NOTE* Directors may add additional performances including Thursday evenings at a later date. This is an Equal Opportunity Theatre, and directors encourage performers of all ethnicities to audition. Please do not disqualify yourself on the basis of type, race, or physicality. When applying, please include your SATB vocal part, preferred date and time (Sunday, August 4th (6pm-10pm), Monday, August 5th (6pm-10pm)), and performer headshot. In person auditions will have first consideration of casting; however, performers traveling further than 90 miles from The Theatre may submit a virtual audition. If you would like to submit a Virtual Audition please submit a Headshot, Theatre Resume, a Vocal Selection from the show, and Dance Reel (if applicable) by Saturday, August 3rd. Please include if there are any specific roles you’d like to be considered for, if you would be willing to accept any other role, if you have any conflicts throughout the run, and if you would require housing if available.

Tenor (Bb2-F4). A naive and youthful sailor returning to London. He helps Todd return to London and unexpectedly falls in love with Johanna. (Male Identifying).
Soprano (Bb3-A5). A spritely girl, full of innocence, constantly yearning for freedom. Todd's long-lost daughter and Turpin's ward. (Female Identifying).
Tenor (Bb2-Ab4). A poor youngster apprenticed to Pirelli. He finds a surrogate family in Todd and Lovett. (Male Identifying).
Bass/Baritone (E2-Gb4). A lecherous public official who portrays himself as a sanctimonious authoritarian. He takes advantage of his position in the city and is responsible for imprisoning Todd. (Male Identifying).
Tenor (D3-D5). A pompous public official. He is deeply loyal to the corrupt Turpin. (Male Identifying).
Mezzo Soprano (Ab3-F5). A deranged and schizophrenic woman who harbors a dark, surprising secret. (Female Identifying).
Tenor (B2-C5). A flamboyant Italian rival barber; a charlatan with a secret past. (Male Identifying).
Ensemble Singer. The owner of Fogg's Asylum. He sells the hair of madmen to wigmakers. (Male Identifying).
