The company is holding audition for upcoming production of "Puffs" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers “who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along” (Hollywood Life). Their “hilariously heartfelt!” (Metro) and epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be. Puffs is not authorized, sanctioned, licensed or endorsed by J.K Rowling, Warner Bros. or any person or company associated with the Harry Potter books, films or play. There is some stage kissing in the show, one between the characters Wayne and Sally, and a few between the characters Megan and Oliver. There are also scenes depicting alcohol consumption. An American 90’s kid raised in the muggle world, with a great heart who wants nothing more than to be the “chosen one” hero, even if a certain boy with a magic scar keeps stealing the spotlight.
A moody goth girl who’s a little too obsessed with being moody and goth. Sarcastic, angry, and embarrassed at being a Puff, deep down, all she really wants is to feel loved and accepted.
A nerdy muggle-born math prodigy who struggles with basic magic. Wayne’s best friend and develops a crush on Megan.
The Puffs’ golden boy. Also plays Mr. Voldy, the Wizarding Dark Lord.
A socially awkward and painfully shy Puff. Also plays First Headmaster, Female Professors, and Xavia Jones. A Scottish dialect (good or bad) is ideal for Professor McG.
Ernie wants to be “the best Puff.” Also plays Second Headmaster and Male Professors including A Certain Potions Teacher…an impression (good, bad, absurd, or silly) of said Potions Teacher would be a good special skill to show off for this role.
A hyper and very enthusiastic Puff who’s just now experiencing the company of other children her own age aftee living her whole like in a cabin in the woods. Innocent and pure of heart. Also plays Ginny, Frenchy, and Helga.
The youngest Puff. Sweet and fun loving. Also plays Uncle Dave, Fat Friar, Clumsy Longbottom, Viktor, Zach Smith, and Mr. Bagman, must have the ability to play a very wide range of different characters.
A sad and creepy Puff. Also plays Harry and Myrtle…impressions welcome.
A near-sighted quirky Puff who refuses to wear glasses. Blondo Malfoy, Rita Scooter, and Bippy the House Elf.
