About the project: This indie darling film explores the ideas of identity and the facades we put in place through the evolving relationship between Emma and Arthur who meet at a storytelling group. As Arthurs past starts to come to the surface, Emma is challenged by the persona he displays versus his past wrongdoings. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer Project, Meals, credit, and Reel footage provided. Travel and accommodation will be provided for select talent. Possibility for post-production back pay depending on future funding. Additional information: SHOOT DATE(S): July 23-August 31st. SHOOT LOCATION(S): Victoria BC, and Vancouver, BC. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: July 12, 2024. The script is not finalized but may include some scenes of intimacy, this will not include nudity or simulated sex. An intimacy coordinator will be brought to set and will guide those scenes. Aspiring to be an investigative journalist, she joins a storytelling group to hear about people's lives and share her own past. Starts to build a romantic relationship with Jason.
No nonsense manager of the Storytelling club. Holds people at an arm's length, but secretly does care deeply about members of the club. Dry sense of humor.
Tall, well-built. Is overbearing and arrogant, likes to take charge of the conversation. Works as a real estate agent.
Creative loner, is aspiring to be a freelance photographer but is stuck in the day to day life at the moment. Is always encouraging of others in their stories. Develops a romantic relationship with Emma.
First generation immigrant. Works as a school teacher and wants to write children's books. Most of her stories are children centric, are very animated and uses voices.
