"Society for the Prevention of Rock & Roll" Seeks Singers
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currenty looking for singers who can act, actors who can sing for a fall 2024 production of "Society for the Prevention of Rock & Roll". Please, see the details below. About the play: A musical revue featuring popular songs from the 1950s, created and directed by Mike Minions. It’s a fine spring morning in 1958. People have arrived to audition for a talent show to be held on Dominion Day. They’ll be singing popular songs from the 1950s (so they don’t fall prey to that evil rock & roll). Additional information: Will be a 10-minute audition slot. The audition will include a cold read from the script and some song excerpts—you do not need to prepare anything ahead of time. Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:30 pm, starting August 20th. Performances: October 24th-27th. Please, see the attachments. If you're interested, please apply.
