About the project: Purple Rain is a stage musical inspired by the iconic 1984 film and the music of Prince. It follows the story of The Kid, a talented but troubled musician, navigating the challenges of love, ambition, and personal struggles while striving to make his mark in the Minneapolis music scene. Purple Rain features musical performances of classic hits like “Purple Rain,” “When Doves Cry,” and “Let’s Go Crazy.” Additional info: World premiere run in Minneapolis: February 2025-May 2025 *all subject to change.
