Casting Character Actors For Upcoming Events

Seeking actors in East TN to portray a variety of characters at parties, conventions, children's events, and more. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. About the project: The company values center on creating magical experiences for children and families, focusing on attention to detail, providing a high quality service with high quality characters. Another belief that directors highly value is casting characters accurately, ESPECIALLY when it comes to POC characters. The company makes a point to make magic accessible to everyone, with all of actors undergoing special needs training. Rate: This is a paid position exclusively for adults 18+. Additional info: Directors receive other character requests all the time, so if you feel as though you may fit a character not on this list, please don’t hesitate to apply. Requirements for Hire: - Enjoy interacting with children - Have reliable transportation (they service all of East TN so longer drives are needed from time to time) - Have consistent (to a degree) weekend availability - Be proficient in singing and improvisational acting - Have great time management skills - Preferably no visible tattoos or facial piercings (if it can be covered/removed directors will consider you) - Be able to pass a background check - They would prefer dress sizes 0-12 due to existing costume collection Training will include 1-2 sessions covering company procedures, costume and makeup expectations, party and event etiquette, and improv practice. Cast is expected to familiarize themselves with the stories of the characters they play. TO AUDITION: Come prepared to sing a 1-minute Disney song of your choice with an instrumental track. An accompanist will not be provided, but a bluetooth speaker will. Additionally, the audition will consist of an interview and light character improv. If you are interested, please apply.
