Audition for Musical "Anything Goes"
Seeking actors for "Anything Goes" show. Please see more info below. About the project: "The S. S. American is sailing between New York and England with a comically colorful assemblage of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who has come aboard to try to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and a second-rate conman named Moonface Martin, aka “Public Enemy #13.” Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life." Additional info: You only need to attend one evening of your choice. Individuals should prepare a song (less than one minute) that best showcases your voice. Bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or bring accompaniment on a device that can connect to their speaker via Bluetooth. Dress for movement and, tappers, bring your shoes. Readings will be done after dance, time permitting, or will take place at callbacks at a later date. Please complete the audition form attached and bring it with you to auditions. A businessman who is in love with Hope, he is charismatic and charming. Strong singing required and should be able to dance or move well. VOCAL RANGE: Baritone/Tenor.
Hope’s energetic, quirky, and good-natured aristocratic fiancé. English accent. VOCAL RANGE: Baritone.
Hope’s overbearing mother who is mainly concerned with money and social status. Sings with ensemble only.

A playful, independent, impulsive, and loveably clueless “dame” – a typical 20’s “gun moll” with a ‘Joisey’ accent. Strong singing and dancing. VOCAL RANGE: Mezzo/Belt.
