The company is holding auditions for Production of "Carrie: The Musical!" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it. Based on Stephen King's bestselling novel, Carrie features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen, music by Michael Gore, and lyrics by Dean Pitchford. Additional info: Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that displays your vocal range and a contemporary monologue under 2 minutes (comedy or drama). Gardner, the girls' P.E. teacher, can be a strict disciplinarian if necessary, but when Carrie arouses her maternal instinct, she surprises herself by also revealing a protective "fairy godmother" side. A3-B4 ($100.00 stipend)
