About the project: Jessica’s boyfriend, Lucas, takes her to an art gallery in an effort to revive their boring relationship. When they come across a portrait of a woman that looks eerily identical to Jessica, she is incredibly disturbed. Lucas believes it is merely coincidence, but Jessica thinks otherwise, especially after discovering that the name of the woman in the portrait is the same as her own. Jessica goes back to the painting after their argument, only to become deeply entranced by it. In a matter of seconds, Jessica is transported into the painting, and in her place, is the uncanny version of herself from the painting. Rate: Non-union. Volunteer project. Jessica is a stubborn, sarcastic, and conflicted woman. She has grown tired and bored of her relationship with Lucas, and as a result, she tends to lash out and belittle him. She often does this without even knowing. She feels guilty for her behaviour and wants to change, but would never be able to admit that to him or herself.
Lucas is Jessica’s loyal boyfriend who wants nothing more than to reignite the spark between them. He is pushed around by Jessica’s sarcastic insults, but refuses to lose hope in his relationship with her. Even though Jessica is the one doing the most harm, Lucas is always the one who ends up apologizing.
