About the play: Edward Albee’s play Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? was first performed in 1962. It follows the volatile relationship between George and Martha, a middle-aged married couple. Set against the backdrop of a late-night gathering with a younger couple, Nick and Honey, the play portrays a night of verbal sparring, emotional revelations, and gamesmanship. The play is known for its dark humor and its exploration of themes such as truth, disillusionment, and the nature of reality.
