"86 Me" Play Looking for Performers
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting call for the 2024 Fringe Production of "86 ME" The restaurant play. Seeking performers. Please, see the details below. Rate: This is a profit share production with a high level of immersion, as the actors will also be interacting with guests sat at tables. Additional information: "86 ME" is dinner theatre’s dark, jaded (but still kind of funny) cousin. The bar/restaurant scene is the heart monitor of Toronto. Our ups, downs, anniversaries, hookups, breakups, comedowns, dancing around... crying in the corner. And who bears witness? A dusted up group of weirdos toil away the evenings in one of Kensington Market’s evaporating watering holes. Recently acquired by a corporation, these nerdewels fight to maintain “Our Lady Kensington’s” toxic yet radiant culture against the ever pressing foot of corporate standardization. They are an institution, and burn it all to hell if they’re going to change. "86 ME" will be performed at Supermarket in Kensington Market as a part of the Toronto Fringe Festival in the unconventional venue category. If you're interested, please apply.
