Equity actors for roles in 2024 season. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: SPT $711/week minimum + health/pension/lodging/travel (SPT 8, contract pending approval) Additional info: Audition lunch 1:00-2:00 pm An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Please bring a picture/resume and sheet music for your song, if you are singing. "RIDE THE CYCLONE" First Rehearsal: May 31, 2024 Performances: June 20-June 29, 2024 Closing: June 29, 2024 Note: The authors give full license to any performer playing any role in the musical. Pronoun changes are fine to accommodate performers' interpretation. Performers of all gender expressions, neurodiverse individuals and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply. "RAGTIME: THE MUSICAL" First Rehearsal: June 18, 2024 Performances: July 11-July 20, 2024 Closing: July 20, 2024 Note: Some actor-musicians may be featured in Ragtime; actors who play musical instruments are encouraged to apply. The only openly Queer kid in Uranium; he’s never had a relationship IRL and is obsessed by French New Wave cinema. Must be able to sing in the style of a French chanteuse. CONSTANCE BLACKWOODFemale18-22 y.o.All ethnicities

Has a remarkably mature and deep understanding of the world, which gets hidden by her desire to please the people around her. Plus size and sometimes conflicted about it. She will do anything for Ocean's friendship; Very charismatic comic actress; alto belt, with a rock edge. F#3-D5. Playing a musical instrument is welcome, but not required. (For Constance: Recorder, Violin, Penny Whistle, Flute, Melodica/Piano are welcome; she plays a simple solo.) Cello is also sought. "RIDE THE CYCLONE"

She was decapitated in the accident and no one claimed her body. She reacts in a literal way which leads to some surprising and unexpected moments; the other contestants aren’t quite sure how to interact with her. Classically trained soprano with a flexible coloratura upper range (including melismas), and some grit in the lower register. Bb-D6. Playing a musical instrument is welcome, but not required. Powerful, charming and charismatic, Coalhouse understands his own worth as a musician and a human being, and expects to be treated accordingly. He also has a sense of humor and fun, as well as a deep capacity for love. Must have strong vocal ability. Please note any piano skills. Legit Baritone with solid high notes/extension. Although perhaps less worldly and sophisticated than Coalhouse, Sarah possesses a powerful goodness and a strong belief system. She is not quick to trust, but once she does, she is fiercely loyal and passionate. Must have very strong upper range, as well as a strong belt. "RAGTIME: THE MUSICAL"

A strong, intelligent woman, with inklings of independence that are unusual for a woman in this period. She makes a big internal journey in the course of the musical. Legit soprano with strong belt. "RAGTIME: THE MUSICAL"

A recent Jewish immigrant, Tateh is fiercely protective of his young daughter. He initially strongly believes in the American Dream, but eventually becomes aware of the need to fight for what is fair and right. Although not a bad man, he is a clear product of a time when white men ruled society. Although he is not demonstrative with his feelings, he has the ability to perceive the changes going on around him and question his own ability to cope with them. High Baritone or Baritenor.
