Performers Needed for "The Noose" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking Haitians and/or Black Francophone for two lead roles in production of "The Noose". More details are below. About the project: In a basement apartment in New York, two Haitian men navigate their differences and shared experiences, and the longing for home in a foreign land. Rate: Paid. Additional information: Location: Toronto. Submisison deadline: January 22nd 2024. Only shortlisted actors will be contacted. When applying, please submit your headshot, resume, a reel (if available) and 3 auditions from theatre, tv or film: 2 dramatic and 1 comedic.

Lead role. A middle-class intellectual and revolutionary. Educate exile compelled to leave Haiti to safeguard his life. He's tormented by the haunting memories of the Duvalier dictatorship and immerses himself deeply in books and profound reflections.
Lead role. An unlettered Haitian immigrant, a diligent factory worker with a strong work ethic. His sole ambition revolves around his modest life and family. Constantly consumed by frustrations and consistently reflects on memories of Haiti. Ability to perform with an authentic Haitian accent is essential.
