ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking male and male-identifying members of Toronto's queer community for the production of "The Inheritance". Please, see the details below. About the project: "The Inheritance" is a two-part Tony Award-winning play, written by Matthew Lopez, that examines the impact that the AIDS crisis of the late 80s and 90s has had on today’s gay community. The entire production is experienced over two performances that run in rotation, with each part lasting between 2.5 and 3 hours. Community members will only be required for Part One. At the end of Part One, Eric (the play’s central character) visits a house in upstate New York that had served as a convalescent home for men living with HIV. The men who had stayed in the home appear before Eric to welcome him to the house. It is a powerful moment in the story that serves as the emotional climax of the show. Rate: Participants will be required to: - participate in one rehearsal session ($50.00 fee). - participate in the dress rehearsal ($50.00 fee). - commit to participating to a minimum of five performances ($50.00 fee per performance). - wear clothing from own wardrobe (casual, street clothing).
