Auditions for Spring 2024 community production of "Into The Woods". Looking for cast. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant modern classic. The Tony Award winning book and score are as enchanting as they are touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Bring clearly marked sheet music for 16 bars of a song of your choice in the style of the show. Singing from the show is fine. If you will not be available for live auditions, you may submit a video audition: please see the attachment. Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Sunday, December 10 from 5:00-10:00 PM. REHEARSALS January 28-April 11 Sundays from 3:30-9:00 PM Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00-10:00 PM Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. TECH WEEK April 14-April 18 Attendance is mandatory at all tech rehearsals. Male-identifying, excellent actor and confident singer (G2-E4). Narrator: An intellectual and pleasant story-teller who helps to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the audience. Mysterious Man: A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler. He is a good-natured protector and observer who is full of riddles and an important secret.
