About the project: SYNOPSIS: Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for teens, and a hilarious script, this loving send-up of the 1950s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll continues to thrill audiences worldwide. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Non-Union. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays until February, when directors will add a 4th day. 6 pm – 9 pm (subject to change based on availability). Tech: Sun February 18th, 2024 – February 22, 2024, 6 pm – 10 pm *Not all cast will be called for every rehearsal. PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE February 23, 2024 – March 17, 2024 Shows are Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30. Call time is 1.5 hour before curtain. Please bring any and all conflicts to the auditions. You must be available for all shows and all of tech week to audition. AUDITION MATERIALS Please prepare one of the provided tracks (see the document attached) for the corresponding role you are auditioning for. Directors will provide the same track at your audition; there is no need to bring a track or sheet music. Cold readings from the script may also be provided at the audition.
