Male/Female Performers Required For Theatre Shows
Auditions for upcoming shows. In need of male & female actors. See the breakdown below. About the project: Shows: "May We All", "Xanadu", "Cabaret", "The Mountaintop". Rate: Every adult actor will receive a travel stipend at the end of the show’s run with a $500 guarantee for Mainstage productions & $200 guarantee for Shuler Stage productions. Additional info: -Please arrive 15-30 minutes before auditions begin to complete registration. -You will enter through the main entrance of the theatre to sign in. - Sign in begins at 6:00pm & auditions begin at 6:30pm. - You are only required at one evening of auditions. - Callbacks are done, when necessary at the discretion of the production team, at the audition or in the following days. - Playhouse, when needed and able, will offer Equity guest contracts to members of the union. - There WILL be a dance call at all musical auditions. - For musicals, audition sides will be provided, but feel free to prepare your own 32-bar cut of an appropriate song. - An audition accompanist will be provided or you may use instrumental tracks via bluetooth or auxiliary cord. - For plays, audition sides will be provided. She’s the person everyone wants to be around—fun, loving, charming, but sometimes blinkered and afraid of disappointing all the people who’ve believed in her since she was a child. Female Presenting Character, Earthy mezzo/alto, a little rasp is good. Jenna’s best friend from childhood and Joe’s girlfriend. Strong, no-nonsense, sharp-tongued. Fully equipped with military-grade emotional defenses, which mask the pain she struggles with over her older brother Danny’s death at the beginning of her senior year of high school. Male Presenting Character, Country baritone or bari-tenor, top E. Jenna’s ex- boyfriend from high school, Joe’s best friend, son of the Mayor. Driven, solid, one of the good guys. Smart and diligent. He stayed in Harmony to run his mom’s hardware store because he thinks the town’s special and he’s now eager to prove that was the right call. Carries a torch for Jenna and doesn’t hide it well. Dustin’s mother/father. Proud of their son and of this town. Fiercely dedicated to pulling Harmony out of its economic doldrums, but not necessarily the most innovative thinker. G2-C#4 "MAY WE ALL"
