Seeking non-equity cast for production of "Escape to Margaritaville". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville is a musical comedy featuring the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, “Margaritaville,” “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere,” “Fins,” “Volcano,” and many more. Join Tully and the inhabitants of a small Caribbean bar as they woo the visitors and brave the hurricane season in this hilarious, heartwarming musical – the beach party you’ve been waiting for! Rate: A small stipend will be paid based on opening night sales. Additional info: Theater practices non-traditional casting promoting equal opportunities for all people of color, race, age, disability, gender identity and belief. WHAT TO PREPARE: 16-32 Bars in the style of the show. Be prepared to stay and dance. Callbacks (by invitation only) Wednesday, October 25th @ 7pm. Rehearsals will begin October 29th, 2023. Vocal Range: Soprano - A3-F#5. Fully committed to her job and helping the world. Willing to put in as many hours of hard work as it takes and expects everyone else to do the same. Suspicious of fools and operators, Rachel is not easily distracted from her life plan.

Vocal Range: Soprano - B3-F5. Loyal friend to Rachel. Cheerful and always ready for a good time. Sees the best in people and has a zest for life that is often squelched by her fiancé, Chadd. Her low self-esteem manifests itself as denial in her own life.

Vocal Range: Bari-Tenor - A2-C5. The Margaritaville Hotel & Bar’s bartender. Has a big heart and is a good friend to Tully. Not the brightest bulb, but sensitive and thoughtful. Willing to put himself out there emotionally and is able to admit when he’s scared.

Vocal Range: Soprano - G#3-G#5. No-nonsense and assertive with a sharp sense of humor. She runs the Margaritaville Hotel & Bar and keeps everyone in check, but clearly cares about her employees, her customers, and J.D. Speaks with an island accent.

Vocal Range: Baritone - G2-D4. A funny, endearing older man who always has a parrot on his shoulder. He's losing his vision and his hearing, but won't acknowledge it. A good-natured drunkard, he's always writing his memoirs on bar napkins and, as it turns out, he's lived a full life.

Vocal Range: Bari-Tenor. Works as both the dishwasher and masseuse at the resort. Fancies himself a real Don Juan. Speaks with an island accent. Speaks with an island accent.
