About the project: PROJECT SYNOPSIS: Ikigai is a story about Aya, bi-racial (Japanese and white woman in her early 20's) trying to rekindle her relationship with her estranged mother, Tomoyo (Japanese woman in her late 40's, 50's). They meet up at an Asian restaurant seeking answers from each other. Additional Information & Safety Protocols: Halfie Films is a QTBIPOC led and operated film production company! The short film "Ikigai" is the final scene in our short documentary "Genki?" which aims to bring attention to Asian mental health. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer, IMDB credit provided.
