ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Actors/singers of all ethnicities, body types, abilities, and skill levels are welcome to audition for "Newsies". Please see the details below. Additional info: Everyone auditioning to be a Newsie will have to attend both the singing and dancing portion of the audition. While all newsies will be required to do some dance, they will have separate “mover/singer” and “dancer” newsies. So, if you feel you are stronger in singing but nervous about difficult dancing, or confident in dancing, but less sure about singing, please still audition! You do not need to have tap dance experience to be considered for this show. All Newsies will dance or move in the show, but not all will be tap dancing.
