Auditions for the "Something Rotten" Show
Searching for both male and female performers and singers to participate in the "Something Rotten" show. Additional information can be found below. About the project: Brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but find themselves stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells a future where theatrical productions involve singing, dancing, and acting – all at the same time – Nick and Nigel set out to write the world's very first MUSICAL! Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 measures of a song that shows off your voice and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Auditionees may also bring recorded accompaniment; a cappella is permitted but discouraged. The audition will include choreography, so please dress comfortably, and bring your jazz & tap shoes (if you have them). Rehearsals will tentatively begin on Monday, April 3. PERFORMANCES June 9-11, 15-18 & 22-25, 2023 Thursday-Saturday performances at 7:30 pm Saturday & Sunday matinees at 2 pm If interested, please apply.
