"Nunsense II: The Second Coming" Musical Needs Singers
Auditions for the community theater production of 'Nunsense 2: The Second Coming' are now open and singers are encouraged to apply. Please see the details below About the project: NUNSENSE 2: THE SECOND COMING takes place six weeks after the sisters have staged their first benefit. The sisters are back presenting a "thank-you" show for all the people who supported them in the past. But now, they're a bit slicker, having been "bitten by the theater bug." Things get off to a rousing start as the sisters sing Nunsense, the Magic Word, but before long, chaos erupts. Two Franciscans come to claim Sister Mary Amnesia (who has won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes) as one of their own. At the same time the nuns hear that a talent scout is in the audience to see them strut their stuff. From the riotous bingo game run by Sister Amnesia to the hilarious duet, What Would Elvis Do?, to the rousing finale, There's Only One Way to End Your Prayers and That's to Say Amen!, this show will have you rolling in the aisles! Additional info: The production runs on Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30, 2023. This is a great opportunity for middle-aged and older performers! The show has roles for both singers and non-singers. Auditioners: Please come with 30 seconds of a song in the style of the show with a minus track. Please no acapella singing. An accompanist will not be provided. Sides will be provided for auditioners interested in non-singing roles. Please provide a list of conflicts from February 13th - April 30th.

(Sister Mary Regina, Mother Superior) Range: C4 - Db6 A feisty, overweight, Sophie Tucker-type who can't resist the spotlight.
(Mistress of Novices) Range: F3 - G5 The second in command, she is always competing with Mother Superior.
Range: F#3 - F5 A street-wise tough character from Brooklyn. A constant source of aggravation for the Mother Superior.
(Sister Mary Paul) Range: F3 - D5 This nun lost her memory after a crucifix fell on her head. She is very sweet. She also plays the accordion, and is the voice - spoken and sung - for the puppet, Sister Mary Annette.
Range: F3 - C5 The novice, who has entered the convent with the firm desire to become the first nun ballerina.
