About the project: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Actors and musicians are welcome to audition (unless noted otherwise.) SINGERS interested in the below roles, please prepare 16-32 bars (roughly 45 seconds to one minute) of a song in the style of contemporary Broadway. You MAY sing from the show. An accompanist will NOT be provided, but those auditioning are encouraged to bring tracks on a playback device. Headshot/resume preferred. DANCERS interested in the ancestors will be taught a short combination to perform in small groups. Dancers MAY be asked to sing in the form a callback. Rehearsals: June 6 - July 8. In general the show will rehearse Tuesdays-Saturdays. Please bring any and all conflicts with the following schedule to put on your audition form.
