"The Wedding Singer" Show Needs Performers
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking talent for "The Wedding Singer" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: Robbie Hart is New Jersey’s number one wedding singer and the life of the party. That is until his own fiancé strands him at the altar. Shot through the heart, bitter and broken, Robbie begins to make every wedding as disastrous as his own until a warm-hearted waitress named Julia intervenes. Only trouble is, Julia’s about to be–you guessed it–married to a Wall Street shark! When she announces their plan to elope, Robbie must pull off the performance of the decade or lose the girl of his dreams forever. Rate: $770 stipend paid on opening night. Additional info: The production runs February 25–March 26, 2023 (22 performances total). NOTE: There are moments of physical intimacy required in this play. An intimacy director was involved during the rehearsal process. Callbacks will be held in person on the evening of Wednesday, October 26, from 6:00–10:00 p.m. Callbacks will consist of paired readings from the script, singing prepared numbers from the show, and a dance call. Please be prepared for movement. In order to make efficient use of actors’ time, specific callback times for individual artists will be determined by the artistic staff and communicated to those called back. Actors auditioning for Robbie will be expected to play guitar at callbacks. All artists must be fully vaccinated to audition. “Fully vaccinated” will be defined as being 14 days beyond your COVID-19 booster. Those who audition in person will be asked to provide proof of full vaccination at check-in. For online submissions, actors will be required to provide photographic proof of full vaccination at the time of submission. If you are interested, please apply.
