Callbacks will be held on Thursday October 6, 2022 (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and Friday October 7, 2022 (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) by callback appointment only. 
Please be prepared to dance and sing. Women should wear character heels and men should wear dance shoes/sneakers. Men should also be ready to bring a pair of heels if requested.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim’s mantle. He is privileged, but likable — his father owns the shoe factory. He is handsome and loveable but there is a temper right under the skin. British accent. Rock belt. C3–B4.

CHARLIE PRICE

A prize fighter’s physique draped in satin. A cross-dresser with a killer voice and winning ways. British accent. Strong comedic actor. C3–B4.

LOLA/SIMON

Charlie’s long-term girlfriend. She is a social climber, driven and uncompromising. She knows what she wants and goes for it. British accent. Pop voice. B♭3–F♯5.

NICOLA

Beautiful and strong working class girl. Funny and smart but has had bad luck with men. British accent. A terrific comic. Belt and pop. B♭3–F♯5.

LAUREN

Lola’s nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker. Has a menacing physicality. Least likely to be seen on a runway in kinky boots. British accent. C3–F4 (must have a strong falsetto to D5 for the Finale).

Factory manager keeping up traditions. Reserved and tightly wound. British accent. C3–F4.

GEORGE

Drag performers who populate THE BLUE ANGEL NIGHTCLUB. Tumbling and acrobatic skills are a plus (one angel will back handspring and another does splits). Contemporary pop/rock/R & B belt. Three Angels sing to C♯5 and three sing to A4.

THE ANGELS

Charlie’s father in the opening and closing sequences. British accent.

MR PRICE/ENSEMBLE

Lola’s father. An unforgiving tower of anger. British accent.

SIMON SR/ENSEMBLE

A contemporary of Charlie’s but his opposite. Harry is successful, self aware and confident. E3–C4. British accent.

HARRY/ENSEMBLE

Nicola’s boss. An overtly attractive and successful man. British accent.

RICHARD BAILEY/ENSEMBLE

Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. B♭3–F♯5. British accent.

Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over. A lot of life experience and a lot of responsibility–this shows in her face. Comedy chops. B♭3–D5.

TRISH

Excellent dancers who act and sing, in all shapes and sizes.

ENSEMBLE

Seeking a modern dancer for a music video shooting in the Capital District area of Upstate NY (Albany-Schenectady).

Seeking a female/trans dancer for a sultry bar scene. Dance routine will be a solo act and does not involve pole dancing or lap dancing. 1 day shoot.
