About the project: "Surviving Grace" by Trish Vradenburg is a comedy about Alzheimer's disease. The play follows the Griswald family as they navigate their mother's illness. When Grace gets the opportunity to try an experimental treatment, she experiences what initially seems like a second chance. Through humor, laughter, and courage, Grace and her daughter confront the challenges of aging and illness. Additional info: Audition Requirements: - Appointments are required. - Familiarize yourself with the play before auditioning. - Be prepared to read scenes from the script. - Bring a résumé and headshot or recent photo. - References may be required. - A script will be provided. - All scheduling conflicts must be disclosed at the audition. Rehearsals: Begin the week of January 18, 2027. Schedule will depend on theater availability and cast conflicts. Rehearsals will take place in Plano. Kate’s father and Grace’s husband. He struggles alongside his daughter to manage the impacts of his wife’s condition and finds he can’t quite weather the storm.
