9 roles
(Cinderella): A young woman with an infectious generosity of spirit and the kindest heart in the kingdom. Though stuck doing endless chores for her stepfamily, she dreams of a better life. She requires a dynamic, traditional musical theatre soprano voice.
The charming yet somewhat naive and unfulfilled Prince of the kingdom. He is in search of his true purpose and requires a soaring musical theatre baritone range.
Ella’s selfish, vain, and tyrannical stepmother. She is obsessed with status, wealth, and her own daughters’ happiness, entirely dismissing her stepdaughter. A strong character mezzo-soprano with top-tier comic timing.
An enigmatic, warm, and pragmatic magical helper who changes Ella’s destiny. Needs a powerful soprano voice to execute "Impossible/It's Possible".
Ella's eccentric stepsisters. They range from brattiness and self-absorption to slightly more thoughtful—and secretly quirky—natures. Requires strong character mezzo-soprano voices.
The Prince's father and the kingdom's slightly fuddy-duddy, well-meaning monarch. A baritone role.
The Prince's lovely mother who does her best to keep the King in line and always wants what is best for her son. A mezzo-soprano role.
The royal steward (sometimes called the Lord Chancellor or Town Crier) who oversees the Prince's affairs and the palace announcements. Usually a tenor role.
Villagers, Palace Guests, and Servants: The ensemble provides the bulk of the crowd scenes, village life, and grand ball sequences.
