LEAD A witty and extroverted high school senior who often misses classes to support his family. Despite the challenges he faces, he dreams of becoming a musician and is determined to build a better life and future for himself.
LEAD A kind and organized high school senior who craves excitement in her otherwise mundane life. On the outside, she appears put together, but beneath the surface, she struggles with insecurity and a desire to finally take control of her own life.
SUPPORTING A single mother who became a parent at 18 and was never prepared for the responsibility of having a child. Her resentment often manifests in emotionally, and sometimes physically, abusive behavior towards Cole, further straining their complicated relationship.
SUPPORTING A laid back and lenient worker who knows Cole from the neighborhood. He cares for Cole and hopes that one day he'll be able to escape his circumstances and build a better life for himself.
