"Just Desserts: A Musical Bake-Off" Show Needs Actors
The company is holding auditions for "Just Desserts: A Musical Bake-Off" and looking for performers, please see the details below ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Please prepare 32 bars. Be prepared to sing a second song if requested. Bring sheet music in your own key (music will not be transposed). An accompanist will be provided. No taped or a cappella music. Arrive at least 10 minutes earlier than your audition time to complete an audition form if necessary. All artists should dress in a way they feel is appropriate for the character or show for which they are auditioning. For those auditioning for female-identifying roles, we recommend wearing a skirt or dress and heels or flats. Please apply if interested.

Mezzo-Soprano (belt to B and mix to D) Just graduated from business college with a degree in accounting. She is ambitious and driven to succeed. While she loves baking, she views the competition as an opportunity that will bring her closer to becoming a professional chef.
Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (mix to Bb) A school nurse. Baking is her way to make people happy. So eager to please that others (including her sister) take advantage of her. Although shy, she’s the one who takes charge in a crisis.
Vocal range: Baritone or High Baritone to F A big bruiser of a man from Brooklyn who has recently moved to Jefferson County. His appearance and reluctance to share personal information lead to some wild speculation about his past. Lou dreams of opening an Italian restaurant.
Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (mix or legit to C, 3rd space) CEO of a department store, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and four-time champion of the Jefferson County Bake-Off, she pulled herself up from nothing to gain her current status. Her sweet manner belies her ruthlessness as a competitor.
Vocal range: Baritone or High Baritone to F The Master of Ceremonies (doubles as Brandy’s boyfriend DONNY). Meteorologist at local news station. Vapid and perfectly groomed, he’s full of smiles for the audience, but unable to cope when things go wrong
